However, they all converge and agree that believing in horoscope predictions and basing your life events on them is absolutely prohibited in Islam, due to one simple idea that stars do not construct your future, and instead everything remains unknown to us. Fortune telling through horoscopes is considered magic in Islam as it involves some sort of demonic power, and magic is strictly condemned by the creator. God portrays this message through the Quran, "They followed what the devils gave out in the lifetime of Solomon. Solomon did not disbelieve, but the devils disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels, Harut and Marut, but neither of these two taught anyone till they had said, ‘We are only for trial, so disbelieve not’ ” (Al-Qur'an 2:102).
In conclusion, astrology in Islam arises many arguments and refutes due to various aspects of astrology which contradict Quranic sayings and beliefs. However, ilm al falak or the science of stars is accepted and followed by Muslims for the knowledge of celestial bodies rather than for future predictions which many nowadays use astrology
