Art is an expression that has been a popular medium from generation to generation, inspiring youth to study the form of the art and take it to next level. Our basic needs, food, clothes and shelter is the foremost example where art can be exposed . Cooking is an art, clothing and textiles is an art and houses and buildings also is an ultimate result of art.
After exploring various fields in art and design from several years, I realized I am keenly interested in textiles and fashion and my strong skills lie in sketching and painting.

Women of the community do tying of the cloth whereas men do the dying of the cloth. I’ll develop a sense of the method of tie and dye.
After a walk in the old city, I will meet Nalini Khan who is a teacher at NIFT, Ahmedabad who has a deep passion in Bandhani and also has a huge collection of Bandhani work pieces from all over India. Another expert that I will meet is Robina Purohit who collaborated with an NGO through which she is in contact with the karigars (workers) in Kutchh and Mandvi in Gujarat. She evaluates their work and has immense knowledge about it.
My final leg will be Kutchh, which is a huge hub for tie and dye (Bandhani). Workers from Kutchh are known for their tie and dye skills and it is their medium of income. I will start building up my skills and learn the technique, as my aim is to acquire the skills and learning one of the difficult textile art thoroughly. This will add a major value to my clothing and textile knowledge.
I will even create a questionnaire for all my experts and workers and this will help me to know more about the
