Over several centuries abortion has been an issue in different countries. In the late 1800s, women healers in Western Europe and the U.S. trained other women to do self induced abortion (Touchstone,n.d.). Abortion was prohibited late 19th century. Abortion is a medical procedure to end a pregnancy and there are two ways to end it. Clinic abortion is the type of abortion where in a suction is used to take pregnancy out of a woman’s uterus; it usually takes place 14-16 weeks after last period, while in abortion pill, a pregnant woman will have to take two abortion pills; the first pill is called “mifepristone” it …show more content…
Signs of a miscarriage is when no fetal heartbeat can be detected by ultrasound or heartbeat monitor or is that blood levels of HCG begin to decline because the fetus is no longer living this where women will decide to have an abortion because a miscarriage carries a greater physical risk to a woman’s health than an abortion, and can result in medical complications including hemorrhage, infertility, products of conception being left in the uterus and extensive pain (Marchick, 2017). It is safe to say that abortion is really needed world wide because it would give more opportunities to women to have a better life and in some circumstance it saves them from possible deaths. Despite what legal abortion can do to help there are still people around the world who disapprove of it. America’s President Donald Trump is one of the many people who opposes abortion. Trump want’s to ban abortion in The United States and believes that there should be a punishment for women. Trump repeatedly said he was “pro-life,” and when pressed to describe how he thinks a potential abortion ban should be legally enforced, he said the “answer is that there has to be some form of punishment (People.com, 2017). According to Women’s Care Center of La Grange, large studies in Denmark have shown that there is a shockingly high risk of death among women who have first trimester abortions. Louisiana's department of health states that first trimester abortions have high death risk because of complications such as pelvic infection, incomplete abortion, blood clots in the uterus, etc. Abortion can also cause physical and emotional side effects, according to americanpregnancy.org some of the physical side effects are vomiting, diarrhea, damage to the cervix, heavy bleeding, infection or sepsis, it goes as far as to death also(Emily A.,2017).This is just a few people who thinks abortion should not be legal but why should we
