Why I Chose College

I entered college unsure of what career I wanted to pursue. My interest had always been in art since I was little, but I thought I would no longer enjoy art if I turned it into a career. At first, I chose to seek a degree in business administration because wanted a degree that would offer me a variety of jobs. About halfway through completing my business degree I decided to take a college art class to see if I still would find art enjoyable as a career. I found that having to follow guidelines made me less passionate about my art. After taking a college art course I discovered I needed to work in a career that would allow me to be independent.

My first job at Little Caesar also made me realize what qualities I wanted in a career. I learned how to manage time efficiently among myself and my co workers. I liked directing my co workers to what task needed to be done because it enabled our work to run at a smoother pace. I also wanted everyone to succeed as a team and made sure everyone was pulling their weight. It was rewarding

In the future I plan to make more time for studying. Instead of cramming for a test the night before, I plan to study 4 or 5 days ahead and to review the material 20 to 30 minutes at a time with a ten minute break in between. I believe studying in short intervals will help me to be more patient and to cover the material fully. Paying more attention in lectures will also improve my academic performance. If I become more attentive in class I can improve my understanding of the subject and will have more patient because I will no longer have to take the time to relearn material. I plan to improve my success as a student by seeking assistance from an instructor or tutor, allowing myself plenty of time to study, studying in short intervals of time, and paying more attention in
