So I am going to break it down into some arguments to try and make myself get a better understanding as to why people take the route of abortion or stick with giving birth to the child. The biggest argument for abortion in my opinion is disabilities. In class we spent a lot of time going over the topic of children with disabilities. There is more than one birth defect when it comes to people thinking of getting an abortion. Some of the birth defects that may cause people to think about abortion are Autism, Down syndrome, Muscular Dystrophy, and Cerebral Palsy. This is usually when people are more lenient and have arguments for abortion. Most of the time when a baby has a birth defect there is a lot more that go with it than just the difficulty of dealing with your child having a birth defect that could be fatal. There is a thing called bills, bills in which people cannot afford. When a child is born with a birth defect doctors will do everything they can to help that child. They could do things such as …show more content…
This video caught my not only because it was a video that involved Nebraska, but because I found this video very interesting and it really changed my perspective on abortion. In this video there was a doctor who was named Dr. Tiller, he was the first and only doctor to actually complete an abortion surgery. After this happened people began to hate Dr. Tiller, and not long after he was killed one day leaving church. This was not the end of the Tiller era though. There was three doctors after Tiller that would continue to do abortions. These doctors were the most hated people at this time simply because when they first started doing these abortions, abortions were really never heard of. So people would say things about how they want to kill these doctors for performing these surgeries. As I watched these videos I just thought that the people were right abortion it should not be a thing, but as the video went on my thoughts changed. As they interviewed people and they talked about their reasons as to why they were having abortions and it made sense as to why these doctors were doing the things they did. Most of the reasons people were having abortions is because their kids were not going to be healthy. It wasn’t like these doctors were out there just doing these abortions for no reasons. They had a reason with everything that they did with the abortion, and it seems as if it hurt the doctors to do the abortions as

One side of the argument shows in favor of the female who decides to get the abortion. Her reasoning could vary and include many different things, such as: she is too young to raise a child, does not have a stable home or environment to support the child, or it could be that she was raped. In the most common circumstance, having an abortion relates to financial issues. Sometimes the female is too young and doesn’t have the necessary funds to provide for that child,…

Conflicting issues often occur over the subject of abortions and whether or not they should be permitted. Each year between forty and fifty million abortions occur, that 's an estimated 125,000 deaths every day just from abortions. This is a very emotional topic as it deals with the life of a precious baby in which the child 's life is in the hands of its mother who has the option to have the child or kill it before it 's even born. Abortion by definition is defined as “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first twenty-eight weeks of pregnancy.” An abortion isn 't just the death of an unborn baby, it’s murdering a child that will now have no chance to live…

Besides the effects that it could have on the mother there are several moral reasons against abortion. Many do not believe that the baby is a baby until it is born, and so they do not believe that an abortion is wrong or that it is killing a baby. Most people who believe this are not Christians either and have no moral reason or any higher being that says it is wrong. And although they don’t believe this it is true and God says that abortions are wrong and that a baby is a baby at the point of conception.…

There are many reasons on both sides of this issue of why people believe it is or is not okay to have an abortion. Many believe that it is a woman’s right to choose to end her pregnancy or not. The U.S. Supreme Court has declared that it is a right guaranteed by the Constitution. Many would also believe that in choosing to end her pregnancy, she is committing murder, and that although the child is unborn, it is still a living being with the same right to live as its mother.…

Abortion has been a great topic of debate for many years, both in terms of law/rights and in morality/religion. The constant debate has split people into two sides: Pro-Choice and Pro-Life. Those who are Pro-Choice believe that women have a right to decide the fate of their body, health, and life. They personally may not get an abortion, but they feel that it is still the right of the mother to choose. Abortion prevents unsafe pregnancies, protects women 's right to choose, liberates women from patriarchal control over women 's sexual and reproductive lives, and allows the mother to choose whether, when, and how often to have a child. Pro-Life advocates, on the other hand, believe that abortion goes against moral values, that it is sinful and…

A very controversial topic in the world, still today, is abortion. Some feel that abortion goes against their morals and religious beliefs. Others strongly believe that abortion is a woman’s right to decide. Personally, I believe it is a woman’s choice, because they know what is best for them. This debate between being for or against abortion has been going on since Roe won the Roe v. Wade case in 1973. As we have learned from history classes, Roe was a soon-to-be-mother who tried Texas’ laws because she wanted an abortion. Although, at the time the only way a woman was allowed to receive abortions were if a doctor said the woman was at risk of having the baby. The Roe v. Wade case made a big difference because…

The ability to live is undoubtedly the greatest privilege given to mankind, and merely existing is perhaps the thing each man takes most for granted. The moral dilemma of abortion attempts to calculate the value of life by determining if exterminating a fetus is an ethical decision. Abortion is arguably one of the most relevant and frequently discussed moral topics in American society today, and plays an important role in both the personal lives of individuals and legal decisions made by the country as a whole. Various ethical systems provide unique answers for the morality of abortion,…

Yeah some mothers might not be suitable to have a baby but, that doesn 't mean you have to kill it. Although abortion may be the only route out if it concerns the health of the mother in some situations, people may argue that abortion should not be the easy way out for those who failed to take responsibility. Until we figure out that abortion should be illegal millions of babies will…

There are so many circumstantial situations, which should be acknowledged while making the choice whether one should proceed with terminating a pregnancy. Although it’s easy to make an opinion on how morally and ethically disgusting it is to murder just a child, there will never be proof that the fetus instead a woman’s body is a living being. Instead of judging these women for their choices, one should put themselves in their shoes and see just how much of an impact the choice of abortion or no abortion can make. All women deserve a second chance. It should be permitted to allow women to decide for themselves based on the impacts on themselves, their family and their unborn child, whether or not an abortion would be the best…
