Kathleen, great post. Great example of how a clinical practice guideline has been implemented into practice. It sounds like your organization has done a great job on steps to implement a guideline. Some key steps to implementing new guidelines are providing the right resources and education for evaluation, involving the stakeholders, and providing support (Jacobs, Jones, Gabella, Spring, & Brownson, 2012). It sounds as if your organization has done a great job of involving stakeholders and providing support throughout the change process. Was there somebody in the organization that had access to resources and time to evaluate the evidence that was going to be implemented?
