Imperialism is basically one nation taking over another. In imperialism there are two point of views, the view of the one who is taken over, and the one who is taking over. These are the imperialist powers who take over for a variety of reason. They took over the colonized people and for some it helped, but for some it caused harm. This essay will be talking about imperialism from the point of view of the imperialist powers and the colonized people. The imperialist powers view imperialism as a good thing which impacts themselves and others in a good, positive way. In which others benefit as much as they do. This shows all the good results of imperialism and the results of imperialism. The imperialist powers saw imperialism as a good way to take over weaker areas for the benefit of themselves. In document 1 it states “Increase demands for goods, which would create more employment in the imperialist country”. This detail show that the imperialist powers would take over for their own personal benefit. As in the detail it shows how they took over to sell more goods in there country which would create more jobs allowing more employment in there countries. This is a major benefit for the country which would boost the country economy. Also document 1 states “Need to maintain the empire, strengthening of British navy to guarantee supremacy.” This detail shows that the imperialist powers plan to take over colonies for the good of themselves. As they took over colonies for the good of there army. They made the colonized people fight in the battle of the imperialist powers for the good of themselves. This made the British strong from different distance and gave them an upper hand in going to war because they had more troops to fight the battle.
