During the course of the "Space Race", new pieces of technology was discovered that shaped the technology used today. The Space Race also inspired many other countries to join in this race. Satellite TV/Navigation, Cordless Phones, Laptops, etc are only some examples. These breakthroughs helped discover many other applications other than space technology or military use. Also, nations such as India, Japan, China, France and much more started organizations whose sole purpose was to research space. This, in turn, gave a broader view in this field hence creating more job opportunities which lead to a better economy and helped them overcome the financial resources exploited over the course of the war.
