One war that Mexico and America had was the Texas War for Independence. This was in 1836 when the Tejanos fought against the Americans because they were in conflict with them. The reason why the Tejanos didn’t like the Americans was that they weren’t happy for the Americans going and settling in Texas without permission. Americans complained that everything was in Spanish and they also complained about being ruled by Mexican officials. Another thing that the Americans complained about was that Texas allowed slavery.
