There are many precautions that need to take place when caring for an immunocompromised patient. Precautions that not only protect the patient but also the health care workers that could be exposed contractible disease/infections. On the other hand, immunocompromised patients typically have non- communicable diseases that require treatment in which compromises their immune system. An example would be a cancer patient going through a sever treatment of chemotherapy. Chemotherapy patients are isolated due to their weakened immune system to protect them from harmful germs and bacteria from the outside world.
