Immosity Vs. Lust

Improved Essays
MT: First, I think it’s important to note what immodesty attracts. Immodesty encourages lust and sexual attention. You’ll attract a boy that is driven by sexual desire. He likes what he sees, and will chase after you with reckless abandon. Why? Because he’s hungry, and he’s all about himself. But that’s not what he will tell you. Don’t be fooled, it’s all a part of the hunt, and the hunt is rooted in brokenness. Flee from the boys. So, what if you want a Godly man? You know, someone who’s more interested in loving you than lusting for you? Truthfully, Kingdom Men will turn away from immodesty. Matthew 5:28-29 says, “But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. …show more content…
From a guy's perspective, I don't think immodesty attracts modesty. Maybe it's just me, who knows. But if a man remains deeply rooted in Scripture, prayer, and gospel-centered community, I believe he will not be attracted to a girl who isn't doing the same. This is because there's a difference between lust and attraction. Lust focuses on sexual desire, while attraction goes beyond sex and into the realm of intimacy. Therefore, modesty attracts godly men who want you for more than just sex. These are men who choose to be leaders in purity by viewing modesty as divine beauty. On the flip side, an immodest lifestyle will likely attract immodest people. This includes people who want you for sex. People who aren't submitting to God before choosing to faithfully love you. People who clearly don't understand what it means to be a man. It's more than just the physical, remember? For those of you who have not discovered faithful men of integrity yet, they are out there. Maybe you've been fortunate enough to know some of these guys. Maybe not. However, I invite you to extend grace to your brothers in Christ, daughters of God. No man is perfect. Lust is a real battle. But their affections for godliness will be stirred once their affections for God grow first. Use the platform of how you dress to set an example in purity for young men and women. And don't ever sell yourself short by believing the lie which says you must lower your standards to get the attention of some guy. If you need to lower your standards to get his attention, he isn't worth your

Love and lust. These two things travel closely together and even sometimes overlap. Confusing these two is a common misconception that happens with even the most popular of works. Writers often find inspiration for their literature through their imagination, people they meet, or past experiences. Ernest Hemingway’s past experiences encouraged an abounding works of short stories, non-fiction, and novels. Considering him being a war veteran of World War I, his short story Soldier’s Home is similar to his struggle through reconnecting with his home town. There is evidence as to this assumption between Krebs and Hemingway: actions, thoughts, and emotions.…

From the clothes you choose to wear (and the ones you don’t) to the items you own, everything surrounding you changes how people perceive you, even things completely out of someone’s control. They have set impossible standards for women to not be too overbearing or too slight in any given quality, yet women will still seek male approval in the form of any displayed interest, both online and in person. Men do experience effects from society’s portrayal of the ideal man, however the concept of hyper-masculinity does not come from women, but from other men. “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyle and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather it should be that of your inner self”. That verse taken from 1 Peter 3:3-4 simply states that inner beauty surpasses outer beauty. Romeo & juliet, was it real love or lust at first sight? In William Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet are not in love because they marry the day after they meet, they also experience lust at first sight, and they are very immature and foolish. These are great reasons for the support of the fact that Romeo and Juliet are not in love. Another true reason to help support the that they are not in love is they met and died within five days, which does not give them very much time to get to know one another therefore adds more to the reason of them not being truely inlove withone another.…

"Twelfth Night" portrays the idea of falling in love at first sight in which Viola and Olivia fall for the man of their desires. In Olivia's case, despite claiming to be in mourning for seven years in honor of her brother's passing away, she falls for Cesario. Not only does she love him, but she relentlessly pursues him and tries to get married to him despite Cesario's unwillingness.…

To the friend of mine who said, “Girls def hate it, but secretly it’s like recognition for being hot,” I hate to break it to you, but women don’t care about or need recognition from slimy men, or even men of the non-slimy variety. Sure, we take pride in our clothes, makeup, workout routines, etc. –…
