In our past and present it has been observed that immigration is a major problem that many have tried to address in different ways, but because of everybody’s different views and beliefs, it seems like every time somebody speaks about immigration, it lights a spark for discussion about the topic. Because our brothers and sisters of Canada are mostly white and blue eyed. They are not displayed by the media as dangerous drug smugglers but rather they are not even mentioned at all. It is absurd to think that there are not any drug smugglers that traffick their product through the U.S. - Canada border just because it is not mentioned in the media. Political figures in our society today are a huge factor that causes this inequity in the perception and security of the U.S. border. Their crazy ideas and comments are what fuel the ignorant to blindly follow their every step and derisory ideas. These characters lead what is already discrimination against certain people to even more discrimination and racism that eventually turns into violence against the ill-treated culture. One of the most well known people in history that caused a disaster that started with discrimination against a certain culture is Hitler. He gained power and implanted the ideology within his own people and people around the world that there exists a superior human race on this planet. This then led to a mass genocide that killed millions of jews. Nowadays many compare this man to Donald Trump because of their similar propositions. One of them being that he “blames all of the nation's problems on a specific groups of immigrants and promises to eliminate them from our society.” He says “A nation without borders is no nation. There must be a wall across the southern border.” This supports my argument that political figures induce a lot of the hate and inequity when speaking about immigrant groups because although we border another country on the north, most politicians insist that “it is the Mexicans that are bringing and causing all the crime in the U.S.” which is something that is stereotypical and not
