The United States is the land of opportunity which gives everyone who has entered legally the right to pursue their American dream. It has made America a diverse place with many nationalities which has created issues regarding immigration. Whether or not we should have more than 11 million immigrants deported, a wall built in between Mexico and the U.Ss, or stop relations with other countries that don’t completely agree with our governments principles. There needs to be a immigration reform for people who has contributed to this country from many sacrifices made when leaving their own country. And like Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, “Remember, Remember always, that all of us, and you and I especially, are descended from immigrants and revolutionists.”

No matter if your were born, raised, adopted, or immigrated to the United States legally, we are all descendants from another place in this world that is not America. Every person in this world is equal to one another because we are all humans. So why do we classify ourselves with race, ethnicity, nationality, social status, economic status, or by sexual preference? The world would be a better place if people put their diffrences aside and work together towards their goals in life. If this country is truly “One nation, under God…” then why doesn’t the government start by passing a immigration reform to truly have a single nation and not divided into many groups. As God said in I John 3:18 – “…Let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.”
In conclusion, immigrants have sacrificed many things from leaving their country to come and have a better life in this country but also contribute if it was their own. So why not sacrifice a little for many immigrants that have spent more to all of their life in this country. So if we are truly the “land of opportunities “ then why not give immigrants the opportunity to prove the government their full potential as a citizen of the United States of
