However, what many forget is that largest number of immigrants living in California originate from Mexico, Philippines and China. Since the start of the 2016 U.S election the question of immigration has been such a hot topic, it has raised a lot of questions such as what will happen to those who are in the country illegally. Trump won the presidency, taking over the White House in January 2017 many immigrants are fearful for his promise on deporting thousands of illegal immigrants in the U.S.. The issues on immigration have been a hot topic and still even after the election, the topic is being talked about everyday. In the largest state of minorities, the question is what will the future hold for immigration in California. According to the Sacramento Bee, stating the issues regarding President-elect Trump’s plans for the next four years, one of the major plans is health care. Since California is home to many undocumented people, the legislature in California expanded Medi-Cal to those who are undocumented. Trump’s plan is to eliminate programs that help benefit those who are undocumented, unfortunately not everyone under the program is undocumented which would potentially lead to millions of Californians without affordable health coverage. Although there is a downside, many do not realize there is a good percentage of people who enter this country only to recieve benefits but do nothing in return. In addition to the loss of affordable health care for not only illegal immigrants but U.S citizens as well, the concept of immigration appears to be on everyones mind. Throughout his campaign, Trump made it clear that he will promise to create a massive deportation, potentially deporting an estimate of millions of people. However, now that Trump has won the election,
