Immigration: Challenges Faced By Immigrants

Immigration is moving from one’s own country of birth to settle to another country where one can live, work or attend school. It can be done due to furthering education, in search of green pastures or even change of climate. Immigration can have an added advantage like opening new opportunities for people,but at the same time it can bring a lot of challenges like un employment, poverty, homelessness, abuse, sickness and many others. The challenges are considered as obstacles which are often faced by the immigrant community but can be overcome by trying different methods. These may include and not limited to applying for financial aids so that one can enroll in school whereby they can work extremely hard and maintain good grades.These inturn can enable them to get unlimited scholarships and financial assistance which can take them through their education and enable them realize their dreams.Other overcoming ways include looking for any type of job no matter what kind as long it’s not lowering someone’s self-esteem.The job can be of great help since it can allow one stand on their own and be able to pay their bills. …show more content…
They can also be overcome by reporting abuse early if suspected so that children are not bullied to an extend of quitting school. Obstacles are also overcome by speaking up for oneself so in the case people need help they should be encouraged to share their concerns with different offices and by so doing they can be linked to resources they can utilize to better their lives. Racial discrimination is another major obstacle especially for immigrants but they can also overcome same by reporting to offices handling such issue regardless of what will be thought of
