So many people don 't mind the fact that the Pledge of Allegiance pertains the phrase “Under God”. However , there are a few groups of people that do not like the fact that the word “God” is used in the Pledge of Allegiance, these groups of people could include immigrants. I personally believe that very few immigrants complain about the use of the word “God” in the Pledge of Allegiance. In most places where the Pledge of Allegiance is verbally practiced such as schools, it is voluntary for the most part. In our culture today religion plays a key role, and God is a very large part of our culture today. In almost every religion there is some form of God that people worship. There are also people in America who chose not to practice religion at all. As an American citizen you do not have to believe in God or practice religion to be a American.
