Imagrating to a new country is never an easy task for any immigrant, especially if the person immigrating has not idea what the customs and language is for the country they are migrating to. Learning the language can not only help the people already in the country but the person migrating have a better quality of life. There are many reasons on why someone imagrating should learn the language and customs of the country including, basic survival, unites a nation if they all speak the same language, to be a citizen of a country and pass the citizenship test. The first reason why an immigrant should learn the language of the country they are immigrating to is for basic survival, this means that for one to have good quality of life where they live, they need the basic needs of …show more content…
Another reason why immigrants should have to learn the language is because it can unite the nation they live in if everyone speaks the same language. If everyone speaks the same and everyone can communicate it will create a bond throughout the people of the country that the immigrants are from. For example if there is an emergency and the immigrant does not know how to speak the language of the country then they will not be able to communicate with the first responders in the situation. The last reason why immigrants should be held responsible for learning the language of the country they are migrating to is to be a citizen of the country they are moving to. This will help the quality of life for this person because the person would be able to enjoy all rights and abilities of a citizen of the country that they live in. This will help the personals overall quality of life. For example, if someone were going to come to America and wanted to vote, speaking the language to pass the citizenship test, knowing the language would be most beneficial for them, because they can now vote and be a true
