Additionally, the interview has also caused me to reflect on the relationship between Singapore and United States. Singapore has close ties with the United States and is an ally to them. This can be seen as Singapore provides military facilities to assist the United States. For example, both USS Ronald Reagan and the United States 7th fleet would stopover in Singapore where they would be able to replenish their necessities since Singapore is located in between the pacific and Indian ocean. All in all, through my dad’s experience in the United States, has made me more mindful of the present president’s policy that would impact the country. Having the chance to witness the work of Obama’s second term and the quite recent elections have indeed expanded my scope and understanding of this country politics especially the constitutions. Though I am simply an observer who is well informed about the world affairs, I believe there are some amendments are well worth to be revisited so that it would reflect the modern United
