Good will, according to the dictionary meaning means kindness, compassion, and consideration and so on. Firstly, to have a good will means to have some sense of commitment in order to behave well. Kant’s argued that good will is the highest human good because good will comes from the heart, someone being good is actually better than someone who has wealth and is happy. “The only thing that is good without qualification is the good will” (Kant), what he means by this statement is that even though that there are lots of good things like he mentioned in his text, like wealth, good will is the only thing that doesn’t need qualification.
