The story first began when Imani was first born on April 21, 2001 in Los Angeles, California. Her mother was a human; however, her father was a vampire. Her family was well known and respected. Her family consisted of herself, her mother and father. She had a good childhood growing up. She had a German Shepard named Nalah that she loved. She would play basketball and volleyball and go hiking with her family. However, that changed when she turned 18. Her fangs started to grow and her thirst for blood increased. She also found out that she had a special power, teleportation. She could go anywhere on earth if she imagined the place. She was becoming a full vampire which means at that time many vampires lose their control of themselves and their thirst for blood.

She then heard barks from the inside of the warehouse followed by shouting of two men. So she teleported inside the warehouse to see what is going on in there. She stayed in a shadow to hide herself from the two men and watched the scene silently. There were two men near a fire who seemed to be speaking French and in the other corner of the room Nalah was tied up to a pole by a

Emi hated traffic Of course, you’d be a little odd if you didn’t, but in New York City, traffic was a necessary evil, in a way. She peered out the window from her mother's Camry and wished herself away from the latter's cursing and ranting. A common occurrence when she became stressed, she observed. Along with the insufferable racket of her mother, the colorful city lights, and the blaring of car horns and alarms, Emi became more and more fatigued. More than she already was, in fact, causing her eyelids to begin to give in to gravity.…

I ran into the clearing knowing, but hoping that the blood in the air wasn't from the children that was left in the slave encampment, but rather the battle that was taking place a mile away from here. I know I am being delusional though, the proverbial river of blood that was flowing down the hill we were climbing was enough to tell me that. But even knowing what I was about to see could never prepare me for the sight that was in front of me. The bodies of hundreds of children were laid out in rows and piles in front of me each body sustaining seemingly worse injuries than the last one with a girl, no older than three years old with brown hair and brown eyes, stared back at me half of her face missing and completely gutted, leaving her insides hollow as her intestines stretched over to the boy next to her who looked to have been forced to eat her stomach and died from choking on it.…
