Imagine Dragons performed at the Southside Festival. The Southside Festival is a music festival in Germany, and is commonly known as “...the southern counterpart of The Hurricane Festival in Scheeßel.”(1) Imagine Dragons have been playing as a band since roughly 2009, But their popularity increased in 2012 with their song, “Radioactive” and continuing to grow with other hits such as “Demons” and “On top of the World”(2). The band’s current members are Singer: Dan Reynolds, Guitarist: Wayne Sermon, Drummer: Daniel Platzman, and Bassist: Ben Mckee (3). Though they play many genres their newer music seems to be more focused on an EDM-pop theme(2).
Imagine Dragons are heavily influenced by the Beatles, The origins are even similar. As described in a video Interview(5), They all began in Las vegas casinos doing covers of popular songs. Covering songs seems to be a thing they do to this day as during the concert(4), They did a cover of ‘Forever Young by Alphaville’ and ‘Three Little

Imagine Dragons seem to play from the heart a lot and their songs talk about rather deep subjects. Most songs now a days are about love, lust, drugs, and having a good time partying it seems, But Imagine Dragons talks about more than that. They sing about self worth and improvement in their lyrics, and I can really appreciate that. On a different note the instrumentals of most songs are perfect for working on timing in animation, since most of the beats are sharp, But that's more of a personal observation that I also really like. One of my favorite parts of the show would have to be this moment, where Dan Reynolds was singing and he was moving the mic around, to create a different sound that sounded more electronic. All in all the concert was wonderful, with the music, lighting and behavior of the band in general. If given the chance to see them live, I would go and I would highly recommend others to go as

These people are the most energetic, fun group I have seen. Lastly, I got to judge the scream contest. This is where the people signed up to go on stage and show everyone there best scary laugh. The crowd voted for this by chanting to each person and whoever got the loudest chant won. This also was fun to see everyone come together no matter who won, or did not win.…

Dragons and teenagers are similar in many ways. Regularly, Dragons help 100-1,000 of people by providing medical assistance. Two teenagers from Norwell, Massachusetts, also help 100-1,000 soldiers with their unfair phone bills. “It's unbelievable and overwhelming to know that we've been able to help out families that we're never going to see; that we've had an impact on their lives. But last October, I bought their newest album Black Ice and was disappointed. The intro to the first track was a big indicator that guitarists Angus & Malcolm Young are scraping the bottom of the barrel. The opening of “Rock and Roll Train” sounds like a collage of random notes, stuck together in the hopes of finding something remotely catchy. The lyrics throughout the album aren’t anything stunning either; the words of “Rock and Roll Train” are vague and aimless, with lead vocalist Brian Johnson harping about giving it up and giving it what you got, whatever that means. To be fair to Brian Johnson, the lyrics aren’t his (he stopped writing them at the beginning of the 90s, handing lyrical reigns over to the Young brothers).…

Also, "the unmistakable sound of The Cure’s gloomy post-punk pop gave rise to Goth rock, but also, Smith’s masterful orchestration balanced his punk roots with pop sensibilities and tipped the band into the mainstream, making it one of the most important bands to come out of- and survive- the 80’s” (Lopez, Korina). Nowadays, the sounds and lyric style of these 80's alternative bands can be heard within the alternative music of today, such as the songs "Riptide" by Vance Joy and "Ophelia" by the Lumineers, which both incorporate deep lyrics with upbeat sounds.…
