Without imagination it would be almost impossible to live. Imagination plays an important role in our lives. Our imagination helps us to do many daily tasks in life. Without imagination it would be very hard to complete daily tasks. We use our imagination when we dream, invent, and learn. Although imagination seems like a small ability, the ability to imagine is very powerful. If we didn’t have an imagination we wouldn’t be as motivated because our imaginations helps us to picture ourselves in the future which helps to keep us motivated.Imagination is a very important ability in our lives and without it life would be extremely hard. Imagination helps us learn by allowing us to picture what a situation would be like in real life. Such as in History, you use imagination to create a mental picture of how people used to live like, which helps you to better learn the concept. Another way you use imagination in learning is in Math, you use your imagination to imagine what a word problem is describing. For example, if a word problem were to say find the value of the hypotenuse of a triangle, you would immediately think of a triangle. Our imagination helps us create mental or visual aides which helps us remember the things we learn. Marcelina Martin once said “Imagination is the key to learning.” This quote is true because without imagination we wouldn’t be able to learn as fast as we can with imagination. We use imagination to create visual aide for us to help us remember concepts. If we didn’t have an imagination we wouldn’t be able to put ourselves in situations that other individuals have experienced in the past. Such as in Rome the rich and poor lived very different lives. To better understand what their lives would’ve been like you would put yourself in their situation and think about how you would feel if you were to be that individual in Rome. If we didn’t have imagination we wouldn’t be able to show empathy or feel embarrassed because in order to feel those emotions you have to be able to visualize yourself in another individual's shoes. We wouldn’t be able to gain knowledge without imagination because imaginations helps us to create aides to help us remember concepts. In addition we wouldn’t be able to get further in life because when we first start a goal we visualize what it’ll be like when we accomplish that goal which helps us to stay motivated which helps us get further in life.
