3. The ball is appropriate for children from when they’re born to 2 years of age; children in the sensorimotor stage of development. This I because children in the sensorimotor begin to understand the world by their senses of touching and looking. The imaginarium sensory ball offers these experiences for a child. The bright colors allow children to easily identify and recognize their ball, this deals with their sense of sight. The bumps allow the children to feel a different texture; differing from normal balls, this helps the child develop his/her sense of touch.
4. The idea of a ball that comes in different colors and texture is a brilliant one. As said before it helps develop the senses of touch and sight. And due to the durable plastic material, the child will not be able to bite and pop the ball. However, it lacks the development of one sense, hearing. Players must be able to understand what the symbol of each piece; the way it can move and attack. In order to play the game, players must be able to identify each piece and recognize its attributes. To apply these senses and developments and “outplay” your opponent, requires a higher level of understanding and thinking, which is definitely unsuitable for people not in this stage of development.
