Imagery In Fahrenheit 451

Guy Montag is very mysterious. The first words in the novel Farenhight 451 come from him and it reads as follows “It was a pleasure to burn”. At the beginning of the novel Montag seems like someone who enjoys his job very much, but as the novel progresses Montag seems to not love his job so much. Its not because of the burning part its because he is the only one that realizes what is happening to the dystopian society that he lives in. He realizes after burning all of these books he is burning the knowledge of the world. This brings me to why I chose an image of a burning mind. The image of the burning mind shows that in Montag’s society, the knowledge that was once important to people is now being burnt and being lost till the end of time. …show more content…
It symbolizes the knowledge in the world is now trying to be saved by Montag and he is trying to get all the knowledge that he can in the short time because he knows that without this knowledge the world will be a dark place. The world will end up being like the image I chose a dark, mysteries place that is reddened with war and sadness. The image of the fireman I chose shows Montag and what he sees through his eyes it shows sadness and the destruction of the knowledge of the world right in front of his eyes. This brings me to the broken heart the broken heart represents Montags feelings for the situation that is going on. The final picture I put on my pic collage was a quote it reads as follows “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new”- Socrates. This quote represents Montag Because it shows that he does not focus all of his energy on trying to change the society that is already present, but instead he focuses all of his energy on trying to escape and find a new place to live. Guy Montag was a mysterious character, but he was the only one that understood what was going

I know there are not many symbols on my t-shirt design; however, I believe the meaning behind each symbol is significantly important and true to the story. If you look at the front of the t-shirt, you will find a design that I created that shows the Fahrenheit 451 burning in fire. When I drew this, it was created to show anyone who sees this design and anyone who has read the book that in the book society took something that was created for multiple uses such as warmth and light, and used it for something destructive. Society began to use fire for something that “protected” people from any knowledge that was in books.…

Furthermore, allusions can also be used to elude the message or tone of the writing. Ex.
