Scamper technique to create solution to problem
One of the most important aspects of home composting is composting food scraps. Food scrap items such as meal leftovers, vegetables and fruit waste, tea bags, stale bread and grains and everyday general refrigerator spoilage are an everyday occurrence in most households. In my experiment, I would be using “P-put to another use” concept of Scamper technique to create solution to a problem.
Problem Statement
It is estimated that about one half of all the food produced or consumed by United States is discarded and thrown into trash. My question is why we should waste all the food. About 26 …show more content…
My second leap of faith assumption is each person is aware and knows the importance of how to live green by recycling the waste and reusing it again for different purpose.
My third leap of faith assumption is people have a strong blender to blend the compost scrap food and nearby garden to pour the blended raw materials.
Light Weight Experiment (Experiment design and hypothesis)
I started my light weight experiment at my own place. I bought a different bag for compost and for 3 days I did not throw any scrap food in trash. My scrap food consisted of Pizza, old pasta, fruits, tea leaves, banana peels, egg shells and coffee grounds. I did put all that material in a strong blender and blended it till it became fine. The last step was that I spread all the raw material in my garden with the help of a trowel. Since the entire process is happening within the soil, it would help the Mother Nature to decompose them faster by breaking all the scrap food into fine raw materials. This will help the garden to reap the rewards without any additional
