This story is about three kids who were playing outside and saw a strange house where an old lady lived. The kids heard about the poor old lady who is ill, lives alone, and nobody cares for her. Then they decided they wanted to visit her. Before visiting the old lady, each child planned to bring gifts for her to make her feel better. At fi rst, they were all nervous and scared to come to visit her because they thought that the old lady would be terrifying.
But one of their friends, Daria, encouraged the kids to see the old lady.

The old lady was so happy to hear this. Then the children started to surprise the lady with the gifts they brought for her. Daria passed on the fl ower to the old lady and she replayed that fl ower for her. The lady started happily and cried with joy, saying, ‘Oh I love fl owers! That’s nice, thank you!’ Then Michael passed on his card to the old lady. The lady opened the card and read the words, which say, ‘Dear Lady, we wish you the best to get better.’ Then the old lady said, ‘Thank you.’ Also she said to the kids that she hasn’t received cards for a long time. The kids felt so sorry to for her. Then it was time for
Justin to reveal his present. Justin passed on his present which was a box of biscuits and the lady was very happy because she was not allowed by the doctors to eat sweets such as biscuit’s chocolate. She thanked the kids for all the hospitality. The lady smiled and said, ‘Well, let’s have tea with the biscuits!’
