Illegalizing Cigarettes My parents have tried to stop smoking for years. They have almost quit but they always would give up and have to have a cigarette. Their coughing has gotten worse and they have had more health problems. They always hate that they have to buy more since cigarettes are so expensive. My parents regret starting to smoke from the moment they had their first cigarette. Even though cigarettes are an addiction that is hard to get off of, they still are dangerous, can cause cancer, and effect the people around you. Smoking might seem harmless at first, but over time you will see the effect they have on you.
