I am here today to present to you the H.R.3934 - No Social Security for Illegal Immigrants Act of 2017 that was introduced to the house of representatives on October 3, 2017 by the California Republican Representative Dana Rohrabacher so that illegal immigrants would not be supplied with social security for any reason until their status has been declared that of a legal immigrant. The majority affected would be undocumented workers and overall illegal immigrants. As of right now Stephen Goss, the chief actuary of the Social Security Administration, estimates that about,” 1.8 million immigrants were working with fake or stolen Social Security cards in 2010, and he expects that number to reach 3.4 million by 2040.” Making point to notice that this bill does absolutely nothing for the forged social security cards and doesn’t ensure an ultimate solution for cracking down on these loopholes. Yes, this bill would limit or shut illegal immigrants out in a way that pushes them to get proper documentation to be naturalized and become a U.S. citizen, limiting the ways that they can essentially loop around the system instead of going through the system. However, this bill does not shine light to a final solution in the fraudulent social security cards being obtained by these illegal immigrants. If this bill is passed it could either push the government to improve processes that coincide with naturalization and the subject of immigration or it could put up a stronger defense to introduce more bills to compromise illegal immigrants but not
