Entering the U.S. illegally and then having children seems to have its benefits for the immigrants that will play in their favor. When children are involved they will do what’s best for that child, due to they will be the one’s who will suffer the most. Police officers should have the authority to question individuals to provide the proper paperwork to prove that they are in our country legally then we would not have these issues. The presence of millions of undocumented immigrants distorts the law, distracts resources, and effectively presents a cover for terrorists and criminals. The biggest issue will be the trust of the government and everyone in the U.S.’s safety. We should address upon any one who chooses to move to America, upon approval and with the correct documentations, vow to respect our laws and our traditions, there is no debating on and they can not be removed. If you don’t like our laws, customs and traditions then you are free to go back to your own country. The police officers in the publics view can cause individuals to make snap decision regarding some of the decision that police officers may use depending upon the circumstances. Schmalleger and Worrall has indicated that, “ an officer who justifiably kills a person in the line of duty (…) or when a white officer shoots a minority suspect and (…) or if the police officer uses physical force or forceful arrests. The public may then become outraged, but at the same token individuals fail to grasp the difficulties and intricacies of real police work (2010, pg.5).
