Illegal immigration is when a person migrates to a foreign country to permanently reside without the consent of the foreign country. This growing epidemic has caused many issues in our economy and has affected many Americans in the United States. It’s negative impacts overall effect American society as a whole. Jobs are already scarce in America and with more and more people immigrating everyday, they will only become more restricted and harder to come by. These immigrants are not paying taxes but are still receiving the benefits that the taxes pay for, such as public parks, schooling, and social security. They also receive free benefits such as Medicare/Medical in which they did not pay any amount of money for. Our border boundaries have become increasingly unsafe due to drug and gang violence in the neighboring country. Overall, this issue of illegal immigration is endangering our country and needs taken care of because there is a legal way of gaining citizenship in the United States of America.
America is estimated to be about $21 trillion in debt at the end of the 2014 fiscal year. Arizona alone spends $1.3-2.5 billion per year due to illegal immigrants. This is a perfect example of how illegal …show more content…
These immigration laws have been put forth for a reason and should be heavily implemented. Without immigration, we would have more jobs for americans, more tax money if the immigrants currently residing were citizens, and our country’s benefits would be used for their intended purposes. America does not completely deny non-Americans the right to live in our country, we just put restrictions and regulations the issue to insure that Americans are given their rights before the rights are given to non-Americans on our
