Illegal Immigration has become one of the largest impact in America during the 20th and 21st Century. Many people believed that a border wall with the country Mexico would help to solve this problem. In 2014, it was estimated that there were about 11 million illegal immigrants in America. Of those 80% of them came from Central America, Mexico, and Asia, the largest amount coming from Mexico with 60% of all illegal immigrants. Building a border wall to keep out illegal immigrants won't just cost billions of dollars, it would create a less diverse community, make America’s economy weak, and it would harm the environment.
All immigration including illegal immigration creates great diversity in the community. Diversity helps us many things including the productivity and effectivity of businesses. When any immigrant comes to America

In the area by the Rio Grande river, there are around 700 species of vertebrate making it one of the most diverse places in the world. In 2009, a fence was placed along the border that affected about 70% of this area. When it was constructed, many species were disrupted. Even though the fence has several small openings, animals are unlikely to walk through open areas because most prefer protected areas. The openings are also small to stop humans from coming through, but they are also too small for larger animals.
Americans have agreed that illegal immigrants are stealing jobs, but is this isn’t a make-believe. Illegal immigrants might be able to be stopped from theft by a wall, but immigrants add to the demands of many things by making more jobs. They also fill labor shortages, many illegal immigrants have taken jobs in labor shortages, fixing the shortages. Farmers in Alabama have had labor shortages after new immigration laws in the state.     Because of illegal immigration, our nation has faced an economic downfall with having to spend a significant amount of money on border security and equipment that help them seize people and smuggled goods crossing the border.
