Fellow americans, i would like to ask you guys a question about the founding fathers of this great country. Do you guys believe that our founding fathers were 100% American? If you guys think they were, you were wrong. No one in the United States or 13 colonies, at the time were fully american. People either moved to the US in search of a better future, born into a family of immigrants, or at the least had blood from a different country. The point I would like to share is that, if our founding fathers had immigrant blood and based the country off immigrants seeking liberty and freedom, why wouldn’t we today allow amnesty for illegal immigrants? The United States of America is a country where diversity is beneficially a great thing, and different people and different cultures can live amongst each other in peace, while making the country they live in a better place. …show more content…

In appealing to our ethos, the fact that the President of the United States is saying this, it inherently rings credibility. Not only that but with the statement of the how our history has shown the benefits of immigrants, it also seems credible due to the fact of historical backing. Later in the speech he then begs…

It should be protected for what it stands for. It may be controversial due to the 1st Amendment and it’s freedom of speech, but I believe it gone through too much to be treated in such a way,…

Kennedy wrote a different article by the name of, “The Immigrant Contribution,” that follows mainly the same ideas as Quindlen’s article. He speaks about how this country was founded off of immigrants, and America wouldn’t be close to the America it is today if immigrants had never come here. Majority of Americans are either immigrants, or have come from immigrant descent. Today many people in this country have the mindset that immigrants are bad, and that they should be required to “Go back to the country they came from.” But these people fail to think about how their ancestors would have to go back to the countries that they came from years before.…

The most interesting aspect of Americans is their unwillingness to recognize the people they once were. The topic of immigration in the United States alone has been around for centuries. It seems almost impossible to find common ground on the situation and many people are even reluctant to speak about it. One-side views immigrants as a liability, while the other side views them as a means to boost the economy and help the government. Whether seen as a hindrance to one party or as a source of profit to the other, immigrants deserve their spot in America.…

Why are there so many immigrants in the US? Weren’t your grandparent's immigrants? It’s beside the point that I am actually a U.S born citizen, and my mother is a refugee from El Salvador, therefore has a permanent resident card, and in the next month, she will be a citizen. But rather because of my heritage, and my poor ragged clothes that he judged me as a criminal, which is what he called the “ Illegal Aliens.” But in fact, I wish I could say that they deserve to be here as much as all citizens do.…

To our nation… I would like to talk to you about America’s second amendment. The second amendment states, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” Although I deeply respect James Madison, who originally wrote the second amendment, many people feel that this amendment should be changed. 17 people were killed on February 14, 2018. They all lost their lives due to the misuse of the second amendment.…

The issue of immigration reform is in full swing. Already a group of both democratic and Republican Senators on Monday presented an initiative that could become a draft law for immigration reform, also that President Barack Obama said Tuesday that in the event that the senators not drive Bill quickly himself would be who would send its proposal for the above-mentioned reform. Immigration reform doesn't exist yet, although increasingly seems closer. President Barack Obama has shown a strong intention to promote it, as well as senators, but so that this reform be given is necessary first carried out an idea in Congress, where it must be approved by both legislative chambers.…
