21st century America is a place of broad diversity and a place where many come to succeed. Since America has began to be so opened up to everyone many have taken advantage of that. The smuggling of people, drugs and weapons has began to seep over our border. These intruders are said to be trying to escaped something, but what is that exactly? They have taken jobs and even destroyed many lives both American and their own people. Illegal immigrants have come to the US in hopes of finding “The American Dream” but have stolen many Americans Dreams. “Undocumented immigrant men are far more likely to work than other groups" (Hoar). The 1986 reform cracked down on many Americans who had hired or planned to hire illegals (Eichenwald). The reform stated giving those companies who did not comply with the rules of the reform would be subject to many financial penalties (Eichenwald). This was supposed to help the drop in job loss and try to reduce the number of Americans who were unable to find jobs due to illegals.

This puts us and our families safety in jeopardy, due to some not being truly honest when they apply. When some Latinos miss the date to apply for amnesty they turn to the black market for counterfeit records (Eichenwald). When they arrive they tell the people who are running the program that they have not missed their chance they have just arrived to America early (Eichenwald). These immigrants have chose to be dishonest and more than just a few get by with using these records, this threatens America’s safety as a whole. Who relays those false documents many may wonder, the emphimous “Coyote Gang” they’re the leaders of transferring records and smuggling people across the border (Eichenwald).
