Close Borders To Illegal Immigrants

Does anyone feel cheated by America letting immigrants come into the United States illegally? Many Americans feel that they have worked for a comfortable lifestyle only to have it ripped from their hands by people who are not citizens or that they feel should not be here in the first place. Many illegal immigrants take advantage of the lifestyle that is created by hardworking Americans. Many of the American citizens feel that America should close her borders and protect the American people from the exploits of illegal immigrants. First, America should close her borders to illegal immigrants because they are taking away jobs from our own American citizens. Many Americans everyday have trouble finding jobs that include the simplest task. One of the main causes for a shortage of jobs is because of the amount of illegal immigrants in our work force: "Immigration foes claim that illegal immigrants have taken more than 3.5 million jobs from American workers during the last decade" (Morrow 1). When immigrants have occupied over 3.5 million of Americans jobs this leaves many Americans jobless and even rends some homeless. Americans do not like illegal immigrants for many reasons, but three of them are that they take their jobs, they instill fear into the American society because of past and present criminal experiences, and they take away money that could be used for Americans themselves.
