He says “You haven’t been chattin’ with me like you did with Adam and Eve” (Hopsin, 2014). He goes on to talk about how he has not seen a snake with an apple to eat (Hopsin, 2014)). I found this was a clear way to show his frustration with God, because if he can speak with Adam why can he not speak to him and prove his existence. To start with, the theme of right and wrong/good and evil is very present as Hopsin struggles to decide which path to follow and ultimately decided to stray from God. Next, Hopsin uses metaphors and examples from the bible to make his writing more effective and to exhibit his point. Finally, he uses ultimate questions which strongly convey his inner conflict to listener and which climatically lead to his final decision to leave his religious self behind.
