There are many reasons why Keeling Pilaro should not play on an girls team. One reason why he should't play is because Keeling is to skilled for all the girls in his team and the other team too. Another reason is because when Keeling and his team play other teams the parents think it's not fair because Keeling is a boy and he is too skilled. Also people question if Keeling is too skilled to play on an all girls team, so the girls might feel a little upset when playing against Keeling's team. Today, women have some pretty tough standards to fulfil. They are expected to always look pretty and be a perfect image of a barbie doll, and it’s completely unrealistic and unfair to women with body types who do not fit the “right” image. The book I read, The Core of The Sun by Johanna Sinisalo, took a look on how women are treated in such an abhorrent unfair society. Although women have won the right to do a lot in modern society, how they are treated, how they’re paid, and how they are supposed to take care of their bodies all show the hold society and the government have on women. The book is set in an alternative near future where it follows Vanna, whose dependency for illegal chili peppers leads her on an journey into a world where love…

In the first chapter of The Interesting Narrative, Olaudah Equiano speaks of the similarities between his culture and the culture of the Jews. He speaks about the matching traditions they share: “circumcision...sacrifices and burnt-offerings” etc. (44). Equiano shows African people resembling people with dissimilar religions and color to strongly argue against slavery. On page forty-five, he fights against the ignorance of Spaniards defining a person as a slave by their “complexion” (45). Furthermore, Equiano strikes against the European’s “prejudice” by demonstrating that their ancestors may have also been “uncivilized, and even barbarous” like the slaves (45).…
