These two authors, Ilbuldu and Disci, received their doctorate in physical therapy and are currently employed at the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center in Istanbul, Turkey. They proposed that using dry needling to treat myofascial trigger points in the upper trapezius will prove to be more efficient than the use of laser treatment. The study consisted of 60 patients that were split into three groups, each receiving a different treatment.
