Raising children has become a science and mothers are trying to be scientists doing everything perfectly. This has created more stress for both mothers and children.
And, the end result is that many mothers, including me, tend to live in guilt!
This morning I received a message from the CEO of Matt’s School. It said, “Aunty, today we are opening the training division and we would love to include you as a freelance trainer…”
And, who was I supposed to train? Parents!
And, on what? Parenting! …show more content…
I am sure that the advice of ‘Good-Enough Mother’ will have some modern momssighing with relief and recognition.
I have had a very difficult time letting go of those glossy ideals in my head, but I make a continual and constant effort to just be ‘good enough’. I want to let mothers living in guilt know that they are doing a good job – that they are good-enough mothers in the best sense.
I am going to look in the mirror and tell myself that I am a good-enough mom; that I might not be the mom that I envision, but I am still a good-enough mom. And I hope you do the same!
Remember… if God is so careful while He knits the baby in a mother’s womb, I am sure that he would have been all the more careful in selecting the womb.Know that you have something in you, something that others couldn’t possibly give ‘your’ child. That is why he chose you as your child’s mom. Congratulations, Best Mom in the World!
Now, knowing full well that God doesn’t call the qualified but qualifies the called,I am saying YES to being a freelance trainer for parenting!
