It was a cold, somber Tuesday in Puritanical Boston. The clock had just struck 5 a.m. when I was starteledly awaken by the sounds of the rooster’s crow as dawn rose. I had never quite gotten used to this town since the moment I arrived, about a year ago, from my dear England. Alas, I reluctantly got up and strolled to the kitchen when I glimpsed out the window to find an enormous crowd gathered around the loathed wooden scaffold. I wasn’t too surprised, after all the people in this town had the tendency to be inquisitive especially one was publicly displayed as an ignominy on the scaffold, for the breaking of a commandment. Nonetheless, I had the perception that this was no ordinary scaffold trial. Staring closely, I saw the beautiful, strong willed face of Hester Prynne and clenching onto her hair, a baby held on her shoulder. Although, upon her face was something intriguing that I hadn’t seen in a very long time, a beaming smile. I approached her and to my surprise it was her, Hester Prynne. She briefly began to explain how Roger arranged for her to live in a beautiful home so that he could join her, but up to this day she heard nothing. She invited me to her house and we began to catch up, her extreme positive behavior was odd, she seemed too joyful, as if we were sixteen again. After several weeks, while walking past Hester’s house I heard subtle sobbing noises resonating from inside the home. There was a delayed response to my knock, but once it opened I saw Hester’s red face with tears running down her cheeks, and bloodshot eyes that looked as if she had been crying for days. I could tell by the hopelessness in her voice that she would tell me something important and this is when she commences telling me about the infamous Arthur
