The current situation heavily excludes the older children because they are forced to only play outside time on equipment meant for much younger kids. Planting a garden bed, for each grade level, will offer all children an equal opportunity to learn while enjoying the outdoors. Having a garden bed for each grade will provide a higher quality, hands on learning experience for the children that will also benefit the school itself. This is a salient prospect for children to have a break from the growing use of technology both in classrooms and at home. A core value of Ignite Innovation Academy is to increase connections between teachers, children, parents and the community. Implementing an outdoors gardening program for students will display and facilitate this core value by bringing teachers, parents, and the children together to learn about plant life. Children originating in an urban environment will benefit exceedingly from learning how to plant and grow vegetables and it will open up a positive dialogue about how food is grown and then transported to a grocery

There are several factors for me wanting to transfer to Simpson College. I went to high school in Indianola and I like the small town feel along with the big city competitiveness. Indianola is a place that I have had great leaders and experiences that my children, in the future, would be able to learn and experience life, like I did. In high school, I had the privilege to be taught and mentored by Kevin Barnes, who also went to Simpson College. He talked highly about Simpson College and everything he had accomplished there; so, I've always been intrigued by the idea of receiving an education and competing there as well.…
