Gwenyth Jergenson My favorite book is called If You Find Me. This book is a young adult realistic fiction book about a girl named Carrie. She shares her journey on adjusting from living in the woods with her sister in an abandoned camper to the busy life of normal people- people that have heaters and air conditioning, more than 2 pairs of clothes they’ve had since they were six… and ate more than a can of beans every meal because their mom doesn’t buy them anything else for the little meals they receive. In the beginning the book takes place in the woods in an old camper. I have always loved the woods and outdoors and everything in this book is what I would picture it to be. It later takes place in their father’s home and at school and I like when they are home the most, because there is a lot of drama at home and it shows the two sisters re-learning how to do things most people take for granted like watching t.v., sleeping in a bed, having warm clothes to wear and eating full meals. Another reason I love this book is because I can visualize it so well. Everything is crisp and clear in the writing and I feel like there is a movie going on inside my head. The author tells such a good story and does even better making you feel like you are a part of this book with the characters. The only thing that I did not like about this book was that they weren’t in the woods for that long, the first chapter was when their dad found them and took him with them. I wish it would have showed me more of how their life was before. But other than that, this is the best book I have ever read in my
