Personal Narrative: Switching Places With Santa Claus On Christmas

Improved Essays
If I were to switch places with somebody for a day, I’d switch places with Santa Claus on Christmas day. Why, you ask? The answer is simple. To ruin Christmas for all the little girls and boys. As Santa Claus, I would fill their presents with their past pet animal’s rotting corpses. They would smell the stench of rotting flesh, unable to figure what it’s coming from, but when it’s time to open presents they’ll let out a blood curdling scream. Oh, how I’ll laugh my jolly Santa Claus laugh, my belly bouncing up and down. The children’s mothers will attempt to calm down their traumatized children with holiday sweets, only to find that not only did Santa take the cookies and milk, but all the sweets in the house. They’ll cry and they’ll cry. Snot …show more content…
The note would consist of flirtatious messages, and the name of the person they’re most in love with. I would act as a spectator as they become filled with joy. Once they confront the “gifter” and get their feelings crushed as the other is unable to recall such a gift, I will giggle a Santa Claus giggle as they begin to suffer severe depression, falling into the darkness of their deepest desires. If I was to become Santa Claus, I would place positive pregnancy tests in small boxes for married men with a note saying it’s from his ex girlfriend. I would tally the number of marriages that became ruined due to distrust from the men’s wives. I will snicker a Santa Claus snicker, as the number of divorces in the world sky-rocket, and as the trust people have begun to rapidly decrease. Oh, how wonderful that’d be! Trust in others would become something quite …show more content…
Santa Claus will ask all his little elf helpers what has been done to his name. The elves will all look up, frown and spit at his appearance. Santa will look to Mrs. Claus for support only for her to shun him and set down divorce papers. All will be lost for good old Santa Claus. He will no longer receive letters in the mail from good little girls and boys whom used to think of him so greatly. Santa’s life will become a twister of disbelief as it rolls downhill. Everyone say goodbye to your goodie two shoes, Santa

“NSA Santa”, a political cartoon by cartoonist Ralph Mckee, published in 2013 by Augusta Chronicle, powerfully depicts Mckee’s viewpoint of how the government secretly tracks the public’s personal information. The cartoonist effectively criticizes the target - NSA - through the use of symbolism, tone, and caricature. As a focal point, Santa Claus is depicted as an employee of NSA. Ironically, Claus is a fictional character that watches children to keep them from behaving inadequately. In this case, he is working for the National Security Agency to watch the public with the same suspicion.…

His only concession to the Christmas holiday is to allow his employee a day off with pay (keeping only with social custom) and considers this custom “… a poor excuse for picking a man’s pocket every twenty-fifth December!” (Dickens 47). Later that same night Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former partner, Jacob Marley.…

Christmas break in my opinion is probably the second best brake that we have throughout our school year. The main thing I like about Christmas break is how long it is. But even though I like how long we are off school it's almost like we don't have a break because basketball takes over. We get a few days off but the rest of the days are hitting the gym early in the mornings for two to three hours a day. The days I have is the best thing in the world because I get to relax and do something fun for once.…
