Scotts mills kids are bad. I have heard this over and over again and I wonder why. I wonder why our town has lots of these problems. Then it came to me; The young adults of this town are bored. Proverbs 19:15 - "Slothfulness casteth into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer..." The bible. Some of the children and young adults of our community wander around with nothing to do. They are bored and sloth like. These citizens are idle and when they look for something to do their activities are often limited to drugs and alcohol. It's not their fault though. It's not their fault they have nothing to do. These citizens can't provide activities for themselves and they live in a town where their are none provided. I propose we open the gym to anyone as long as there is a chaperone. I will try to get nonprofit young adult organizations to operate in Scotts mills. These organizations include wildlife young life and others. All of these solutions are free and yet extremely helpful. Everyone has potential and if we keep kids off the street and occupied with character cultivating activities their potential expands. Who knows maybe, just maybe, one of the "bad" Scotts Mills kids could grow up to be
