If I Went Missing?-Personal Narrative

Great Essays
“A thirteen year old girl went missing yesterday evening,” The anchorman spoke through the TV. “That’s the third kid this week,” I sighed. Alex looked up at me with a worried look in his green eyes, peeking through his straight brown hair that I brushed out of his face, “But Jane, what if I go missing? Will you find me? I’d miss my babysitter. Who else would teach me all of the big words that you use?” “Of course I’d find you. You know I love solving mysteries and I want to be a detective or something when I’m older.” I didn’t want to think of Alex being kidnapped. He’s so angular, just ten years old, he wouldn’t be able to defend himself. Shadow, Alex’s cat, grazed against my legs, discontinuing my thoughts; I glared into her green eyes after she left quite a bit of black fur on my white pants. I sauntered into my Grade 8 Social Studies class with Mr. Ganna on Monday …show more content…
I made notes in the journal I always have with me and returned home. Time to do what I've always wanted! I pulled out a bulletin board; a printed, zoomed in Google Earth map of the area; some red string; thumb tacks and the freshly printed pictures along with my notes. I found a shack in the woods on my way home and I think it might be connected to all of those children going

It seemed like a great day to walk downtown by ourselves. We always went alone, Scout and I, and now that I’m twelve, we can do it with even more grace. Our shoes echoed down the rather empty neighborhood until I saw Mrs. Dubose sitting in her usual spot on the spot in a rickety rocking chair. I didn’t look at her in fear of her spotting us and cutting our plans into pieces. Attempting…

Emily gave a quick kiss on the cheek to both her mother and father and raced out the door to Alivia’s…
