Do you ever notice differences between a book and the movie? The book is better because has far more helpful details. When I read a book, I have to watch the movie right after, to notice the differences. The book I read recently was If I Stay by, Gayle Forman. So I know what happens in the book because I saw the movie when it came out. The book is completely different from the movie. There's a lot of more information about all the characters and scenes in the book. It’s about a girl, Mia Hall, who is amazing at the cello. She applied to Juilliard, but she ends up getting into a near fatal car crash with her family. She has an out-of-body experience. She has to decide whether to stay or go. The main character is Mia Hall. She plays the cello, and applies into Juilliard, the music school. She has a boyfriend, Adam Wilde.

The book has a whole bunch more of facts, information, and details. In the movies they skip out on a lot of details. I think the reason why movies doesn't have a lot of the details is because maybe they have a limit of how long the movie needs to be. But there are some of the same scenes that has happened in the book and in the movie. In the beginning of the movie, Mia and her family were at the kitchen table,with her parents reading the newspaper. Teddy and Mia were eating their breakfast, the radio comes on and says that there isn’t school because of the snow day. It happens both in the movie and book. Another scene that’s the same is they get into the car and drive to Willow’s house to see Willow, Henry, and their baby. Another scene is when Adam sees Mia at school in the music room playing the cello. When Mia and her grandfather go to San Francisco to audition for Juilliard and Mia is playing the cello, her grandfather was watches her through the door. He also opens the door so he can hear better. People should take time and read the book. I don’t read as much as I would like to, I don’t have enough
