If I Just Read

If I just read the assigned chapter in economics and couldn't remember what I just read, then I would need to make sure that I understand what exactly I just read. Also, try and convince myself that the material that I am learning is important and also try to find something interesting. This is two examples of things I could do from the book. I'm not exactly sure on what a reflection is, I think it means what I would I am not positive on that, though. If I just read the assigned chapter in economics and I couldn't remember what I read, then I would probably reread the chapter and take notes about it. That doesn't necessarily help me remember, but it does at times. With one of the examples I used in this, I think it would also work for if I am taking an American history class that I need to graduate from TSCC, and I find it boring then something I could do is convince myself that what I am learning is important and find something interesting about it. These could help me remember, at least it says that in the book. For me, I would also take a lot of notes and reread it as many times as needed.

Honestly, this is part of the way that I go into a math class. I do continually remind myself that I have never been good at math, but I also think that I can pass the class. For this, I would do a lot of practice on whatever subject we were going over in the class, take lots of notes, and ask a lot of questions if I don't

In high school, students are constantly reminded of the need to pursue an education beyond high school. Students are advised to take certain steps towards receiving a higher education, usually at a university that most individuals are familiar with. When I think about college life, I think of what some may picture out of a typical movie scene. I see thousands of students walking across a beautifully designed campus, some swarming the hallways scurrying from class to class, others strolling their way over to the campus Recreation Center for some down time. In Graeme Wood’s “Is College Doomed,” Wood investigates into a new perspective of a for-profit undergraduate education system that lacks a campus in which individuals associate with the typical university, called Minerva.…

I used different techniques to remember all of these. Mnemonics, flashcards, and writing the terms many times. I always did really well on these because of my preference of memorization. Another time memorization came in handy for me was when we were learning the skills for the CNA test. We were given a booklet my teacher referred to as the “CNA bible.”…

Throughout this course we have not only gained factual knowledge about East Asia but also a framework that we can use to understand other countries and cultures around the world. To consider ourselves global citizens, we must have an understanding of the world and the way it works. From learning about the history of East Asia, we now have a better understanding of why it works the way it does today, and that makes us less ethnocentric and more empathetic toward others. This course has allowed me the opportunity to grow more as a global citizen, and to see where I have achieved and failed at pushing to see beyond myself and be a more inclusive person. Asides from the overt growth of knowledge about East Asian and its history, I have also gained an appreciation for the past and understanding that we cannot always believe what has been told and retold throughout history.…

I was sort of homeschooled up until I was 9. My parents did not want me in the public school system because of the continuing rise of immorality in the schools, teen pregnancy, drug abuse, and the decline of the education system in the United States. Even so my parents did not do much better teaching me. I would have to say though its partly my own fault I often gave my mother a hard time in every possible way a kid could think of like for example I would burn some of the homework my mom gave me, or even throw it out the window and slack off even just simply say no I don’t want to do it (I was very stubborn) similar to the dog ate the homework type of things. They gave up after much toil with me when I was around 8 or 9 to my great enjoyment…
