Well, now you know that they can form a strong bond, so strong actually they will protect each other like Suzanne and Heroin “She takes the best care for her dogs, and they take care for her.” This shows the dogs treat their owners as family not foe. And the owners just want to be surrounded by them, and help them. Suzanne and Heroin care so much for each other about Suzanne actually “ rushed her dog to the vet” after Heroin got kicked by a moose and was saved by Suzanne butcher. and the best part is Heroin raced many more times and won again and again, that could have left Heroin out there and won the race, but instead dropped out losing all her prize money to save

Gary Paulson gives a look into the rigorous challenge of the Iditarod through his memoir Winterdance. He emphasizes the awful conditions along with the importance of the human animal bond. He challenges the traditional way of thinking about dogs’ place in the world asserting that through extensive contact with the dogs, one would start thinking as if they were a dog. Paulson illustrates the toughness of the Iditarod as well as the vile treatment of dogs by some people in response to these conditions; research indicates that the instances of animal cruelty have plummeted in sled-dog races, resulting in a greater connection between man and dog.…

The book The Art of Racing in the Rain is written based on a true story of the author Garth Stein, but instead of telling a story like any other literature, this book is written from author’s pet dog, Enzo’s perspective. This book is mainly a biography of the author during the times his dog, Enzo, is present, and what makes this biography so great is that the concept of the dog telling the story is constantly reminded by the author Stein, and Stein added on the imaginary but realistic thoughts of his dog Enzo. It all started with Enzo being picked out at the dog farm by Denny, the master. Enzo believed truly that “when a dog is finished living his lifetimes as a dog, his next incarnation will be as a man” (2). Throughout the whole novel, Enzo…
