Moore uses facts to prove his thoughts, For example; Moore proves, that there are many students going to school and graduating, but he believes they possess a large lack of knowledge. In order to support this idea, he used the example of how some college do not require learners to take any foreign language and other subjects that many schools don’t even have as requirements. Moore presents many facts and evidence defending his point of view, he also mention, how politicians have most of the guilt. However, people take part of it as well. He mentions how people would prefer to watch ESPN instead of the news or anything else but read. He emphasizes that the nation can be on a great path, if only people make a good use of their time instead of being watching TV shows for long hours and dedicate themselves to read and to be more educated. Furthermore, Moore does not only blame the government, but also makes it clear that people also are to blame in this. I totally agree with this, because as a college student, I have noticed that many individuals don’t take advantage of what they have.
