As the time passes on and he was still leader of Uganda his allies and so called loyal troops start to get sick and tired of the horrible things he has done and begin to mutiny. People started escaping into Tanzania and Idi accused the President of Tanzania of his people fleeing his country. Idi was angered by this so he attacked Tanzania. In doing this a battle began between the two countries. “Amin was forced to flee when Kampala was captured” (59-60). He went into hiding in Libya but he later moved to Saudi Arabia, where he lived out his life until his death on August 16, 2003. He died of organ failure. His lust for power and wanting everything to be his way resulted in him losing power, killing innocent people, and losing the trust of his country. Idi Amin was a horrible leader who didn’t care about anything but himself. He wanted everything to be his way and if you did not agree with him you were to be killed. He did shady things to get to his position he once was, he didn’t care about anyone’s feelings, even if you were once his friend. Idi wanted power and he got it.
