Towards the end of their battle when Captain America has unexpectedly turned the tables, Iron man’s comment of, “What are you waiting for Steve? Finish it,” shows how his generativity will drive him onwards in pursuing his agenda unless Captain America puts him down. Furthermore, Iron Man knows that if Captain America kills him, it will make Captain America look like a renegade superhero who murdered one of the leaders of superhero reform. On top of that, Iron Man also realizes that he represents more than one ideology and the citizen’s choice of siding with Iron Man, evidenced through their tackling of Steve Rogers while shouting, “Hold him down! Hold him down!” illustrates how the nation shares Iron Man’s ideology. The fact that the citizens side with Iron Man and share his ideology means that if Captain America kills Iron Man, he would not only look like a renegade superhero, but he would inadvertently clash with the ideology of the people and therefore be adding more credence to the necessity of the Superhuman Registration Act.
